Join Yale.NYC for an exclusive early-access farm tour at the beautiful Brooklyn Grange Fall Farm Festival (in Long Island City). Learn about what's happening on the farm in October – from the farmers, to the chickens and honeybees, and the plants themselves.  Sip a cappuccino while strolling through fall crops, saving seeds from our organic heirloom vegetables, and learning about the farm's many uses, including as a learning laboratory for City Growers. After a special Q & A session with City Growers education staff, guests will be able to enjoy the Fall Fam Festival, shop at the farm stand - even play a round of corn hole among the peppers!

Our hosts for the morning are:
Cara Chard, Director of City Growers
Katie Cuthbert, Educator, City Growers
Emma Taliaferro, Educator, City Growers
Georgia Maloney, Board Chair of City Growers
Ellice Lee, Board Member, City Growers
Frank Raffaele, Owner, Coffeed

Our Itinerary:

10:00 - 10:30: Meet in Coffeed for coffee, bagels and pastry (compliments of Coffeed)
10:30 - Renel and Cara bring the group up to the farm. Tour begins.
10:40 - Visit the market and "ask the farmer" q & a session with Renel
11:30 - The Fall Farm Festival opens to the public from 11am-4pm. Feel free to enjoy the farm festival as long as you like, or head down to Coffeed for lunch.
