Jillian Abbott’s food, opinion, features, and travel pieces have been published in The Washington PostThe GuardianThe New York Daily NewsNewsdayEpicurean, and The Sydney Morning Herald. Her most recent op-eds are adaptations from her Instagram “Year of Mindful Eating” feed (@themindfulmouth). Her short stories have won awards and been published in the US, Australia, and India, including a story in “Queens Noir.” She holds an MFA in creative writing, and teaches Creative Writing and Composition at York College CUNY. She is a recent alumnus of The Op-Ed Project.
